We recommend everyone to start with training the basics to develop a strong foundation prior to engaging in more intense skill training.
We get asked this question a lot. Although we do not lift weights in the form of conventional training seen at the gym, we do lift each other for hand to hand and acrobatic training. As for dumbbells and actual weights, we use less than 10lb dumbbells only for rehab and mobility work. Most of our strength training is from bodyweight training and the use of resistance bands.
